Meds Meds I did that thing

Original Story:
Siran Ariist was a member of the police force on the planet Sonsaara, in charge of keeping a society that was only recently regaining its rights after a brutal occupation by the Space Nazis (which I still need to come up with a valid name for) from collapsing into lawlessness. Handy with her never-jamming pistols Scylla and Charybdis and unswayed by bribes of any measure, Siran was the most feared officer in the Sunaari desert.

However, one day, for reasons unknown, she decided to pack up her things and leave on a journey through the galaxy, eventually finding herself a job as a security officer aboard the Core of War.

Jacob Yin was the fifteen year old son of two doctors aboard the starship Santa Maria, on a journey through unexplored territory. The Santa Maria was on its return trip when one of the warp engines exploded. 95% of the crew was totally fine but a few died and some, like Jacob, lost limbs and sustained permanent damage to the face and lungs. He was restored to full health with modern future science medicine, but has to wear that helmet at all times or die of some horrifying lung infection.

He is currently doing some field experience thing as a nurse aboard the Core for med school or something.

New Story:
Jake Lee is the young chief of medicine aboard the U.S.S. Atomic. He. Shoots stuff with a ray gun or whatever I don't know. Action future space doctor. Lost his arms and leg wrestling a space communist bear or something.

Jacob isn't really muscular or white or communist-punching enough to be a pulp Science Fiction hero, sorry. He should probably be some racist stereotype villain or comic relief or something but whatever.

Surani is the princess of an alien race that's being oppressed by the space commies. She joins Jake on his quest to... Punch space commies or something fuck I don't know.

She's probably a damsel in distress or something. When I was sketching this she had a zappygun too but then I remembered this was the fifties, women didn't get to do things.
